Balloons Over Waikato Festival

A week of family fun at New Zealand’s premier hot air ballooning festival. Join Balloons Over Waikato and enjoy the magic of Hot Air Ballooning, where balloons and pilots from around NZ and the World take to the Waikato Skies.
The Balloons Over Waikato programme features 5 mornings of competitive flying tasks which incorporate community events and local partnerships, including sponsor activations based at Innes Common, Hamilton Lake.
In 2025 we are once again planning for a balloons visit to a region in the greater Waikato community, as well as afternoon and evening activities around the city, such as the Walk Thru balloon in Garden Place and the BASE Basket Burn.
The week will conclude with the ZURU Nightglow, for the 3rd year at Claudelands Oval. The event consists of live entertainment on the One NZ stage, food vendors, carnival rides and the stunning balloon glow choreographed to music, finishing off with the Sky City fireworks extravaganza!
Wairarapa Wines Harvest Festival

Conveniently located just 10 minutes from both Masterton and Carterton, the festival site is easily accessible to both locals and visitors to the district. For those who prefer to drive, free parking will be available. However, we encourage you to make life easier by taking advantage of our regional shuttle service. The shuttle will run to and from the festival site at the beginning and end of the day, ensuring a hassle-free experience for all.

This year we’d like to see your interpretation of Santa’s Workshop at the Upper Hutt Santa Parade. Main Street on Sunday 1 December from 3.00 pm.
It’s time to start planning your float for the 2024 Upper Hutt Santa Parade. An invitation is extended to all business and community groups operating in Upper Hutt to join this community event and enter a ‘Santa’s Workshop’ themed float in the Parade.

TAKA Trust Charity Golf Day in association with Hawkins Limited is TAKA’s major annual fundraiser with proceeds from the event providing access and opportunities which empower our local tamariki.
We raise funds from the golf tournament through entry fees, sponsorships, and donations – monetary and in-kind. We seek raffle prizes, food and drink, and quality prizes for the charity auction. You can support the mahi of TAKA Trust by supporting the golf tournament, held on Friday 15 November 2024.

Chocstock – New Zealand's craft chocolate festival – is happening 21-23 June in Wellington!
Get ready to join 25+ of the best craft chocolate makers from New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands to celebrate delicious and ethical bean-to-bar chocolate. This is a chocolate festival for grown ups!
Chocstock is a gathering of New Zealand’s craft chocolate industry and an opportunity to meet its award-winning makers, all of whom champion fine flavour and rare cacao beans.
